Our promise

The no-overage pledge

The loudest complaint about managed hosting is the surprise bill after a good day of traffic. We refuse to run that playbook — and we'll put it in writing.

  • We never bill you per visit. Your price is the plan price — the same number, every month.
  • A traffic spike, a bot swarm, or a DDoS is shed at the edge and never billed as if it were customers.
  • No usage meter runs quietly in the background and lands as a surprise invoice. Ever.
  • If your site genuinely outgrows its plan, a human emails you first and helps you size up — you decide, before anything changes.

Flat means flat. Boutique and founder-run — so there's a real person accountable for keeping this promise.

What it really costs

The honest monthly bill, itemized.

Most hosts advertise a low entry price, then sell the parts you actually need — security, plugin updates with rollback, extra environments — as separate monthly add-ons. Here's the real cost for one site once you add the pieces we bundle into every plan, using their own published list prices.

WP Engine
Startup plan$35/mo
1 site · 25K visits · 10GB — month-to-month
  • Extra Layer of Security (WAF + DDoS)+$23
  • Automated Plugin Updates+$4
Real monthly$62/mo

Base + add-ons from WP Engine's own plan builder. Annual billing brings it to ~$52/mo.

Kinsta
Single plan$35/mo
1 site · 35K visits · 10GB — month-to-month
  • Automatic updates + rollback+$3
  • 6-hour backups+$20
Real monthly$58/mo

Base + listed add-ons. CDN, WAF & migration are already included by Kinsta — not counted here.

flat — the slider can't move it

Cheapest rational configuration per host: the best-fitting published tier, or a lower tier plus its per-visit overage — whichever is less. Their paid add-ons (security, premium staging) excluded to keep it conservative; bot and attack traffic counts toward their meters, never toward ours.

Figures are the vendors' own published list prices (WP Engine's plan builder · Kinsta's add-on docs) as of June 2026, billed month-to-month. Annual billing lowers each base by ~$5/mo. We left out WP Engine's NitroPack page-speed (+$20) and Kinsta's premium isolated staging (+$20) to keep it conservative. Plans change — check current terms before relying on these numbers.

Questions

The things people ask first.

How does flat pricing avoid bill shock?

There's no per-visit meter to blow past — your price is the plan price, every month. Attack and bot traffic is shed at the edge and never billed. If your site genuinely outgrows its plan, we reach out and help you size up first — we never quietly run a meter into a surprise invoice.

Is the migration really free?

Yes. We make a byte-exact copy of your site, verify it on a preview URL, and only go live when you're ready — Elementor and serialized data land identical, and your site keeps the PHP version it runs today. If it doesn't pass every check, you don't switch and you owe nothing.

What can the AI actually fix on its own?

Safe, reversible fixes run automatically: rebuilding the cache when a site slows, reissuing the SSL certificate, restarting a stuck runtime, and deactivating a plugin that's crashing the site. Anything risky — schema changes, deletions, DNS — always asks you first.

How fast is it, really?

Fast by default, with nothing to tune. Cached pages are served from our own full-page cache in front of WordPress in about 5ms; dynamic and logged-in pages ride a per-site Redis object cache and a tuned OPcache. Admin, login and the standard cart, checkout and my-account paths are never cached, and any visitor already holding a cart or login cookie is served live — so WooCommerce and membership sites stay correct.

Can I get my data out?

Any time — in one click. Download a full backup (database + files) from your dashboard whenever you want, and it keeps working even if you cancel. Your data is always yours; there's no lock-in.

Where do backups live, and what if hardware fails?

Backups are stored off your server in independent object storage (Cloudflare R2), with multiple restore points kept. Because they live off-node, we can rebuild your whole site from them even if the underlying hardware dies.

How secure is it?

Every request passes an OWASP Core Rule Set web-application firewall before it reaches WordPress, abusive IPs are banned at the network layer by CrowdSec, and each site runs in its own hardened, isolated container — one compromised site can't reach another. HTTPS is issued and renewed automatically.

Why is a boutique host better than a big one?

We deliberately keep the roster small so every site gets real attention — the AI copilot watches each one continuously, and a human who knows your account answers when it matters. We compete on how well your site runs, not on how many we can pack onto a box.
